The parcel is zoned commercial and lies just west of the Sedona Main Post Office in Uptown Sedona. It is a long triangle with 691' Hwy 89A frontage. In 1986 a Sizzler Restaurant was planned for this site but never built. This legendary sale led to Sedona's incorporation in 1988. In 1997 a 72 unit Homewood Suites was also planned but not built. The city now plans to build a road through the rear of the parcel for Forest Road giving the land direct access to 89A. Once the city acquires the right-of-way it needs for the road the remaining 1.0285 acres on 89A will become a prime commercial site which the owner will sell for $2 million. The 1.53 acres across Forest Road (Parcels 408-38-011D & 408-38-011D) owned by the same owner can be bought for an additional $825,000.
